Summit Airport Parking (“Summit”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit summitairportparking.com (the “Site”), contact us, or use our services. By using our Site or services, you consent to the practices below in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and guidance from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (OPC).
1) Personal information we collect
We may collect:
Contact details – name, email, phone, mailing address.
Booking details – reservation dates/times, lot/space selection, vehicle make/model/plate, flight info you provide.
Payment info – card details entered at checkout are processed by our payment processors; we do not store full card numbers.
Communications – messages, emails, support requests.
Site/usage data – IP address, device/browser info, pages viewed, and interactions (via cookies—see “Cookies & analytics”).
On-site security (if applicable) – CCTV in signed areas for safety and loss prevention.
2) How we use your information
Provide, manage, and improve parking bookings and customer support.
Process payments and send receipts.
Communicate about reservations, service updates, and policies.
Operate the Site, measure performance, and troubleshoot.
Send optional marketing communications with consent (see “Marketing & CASL”).
These purposes align with PIPEDA’s fair information principles (identifying purposes, limiting collection/use, safeguards, access).
3) Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the Site, remember preferences, and understand usage (e.g., pages visited, features used). 4) Marketing & CASL consent
If you opt in, we may send promotional emails or texts. We follow Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), which requires consent, sender identification, and a working unsubscribe in every message. You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link; we action requests within 10 business days.
5) Service providers (who process data on our behalf)
We use reputable vendors to deliver our services. Their access is limited to what’s needed, and they must protect your information contractually.
Rezcomm – booking engine and site analytics capability for airport parking ecommerce. Rezcomm is UK-based and publishes its privacy notice and GDPR posture.
WPS Parking Solutions – booking/platform services (e.g., ParkID) and related analytics within their cloud-based parking platform.
Stripe – payment processing. Stripe may act as processor or independent controller depending on activity and maintains a Data Processing Agreement and Data Privacy Framework participation.
Moneris – Canadian payment processing and related services under its privacy statement.
Mailchimp (Intuit) – newsletter/email delivery. Mailchimp operates servers in the United States and uses approved mechanisms for international transfers.
We do not sell your personal information.
6) When we disclose information
We share personal information only with:
Service providers above (to run bookings, payments, analytics, email).
Legal & safety – if required by law or to protect our rights, users, employees, or the public.
7) International data transfers
Some providers process or store data outside your province or outside Canada—for example, in the UK/EU (Rezcomm, WPS) and the United States (Mailchimp; Stripe may process globally). We use contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the destination and service.
8) Safeguards
We employ organizational, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data (restricted access, encryption in transit where applicable, secure payment processors, vendor due diligence), consistent with PIPEDA’s safeguards principle.
9) Your choices & rights
Subject to legal limits, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, corrections, or withdraw consent for optional uses (e.g., marketing; non-essential cookies). We will respond within a reasonable time as required under PIPEDA.
10) CCTV
If we operate CCTV at our facilities, cameras are placed in reasonable, signed areas for safety and security. Access is restricted and footage is retained for a limited period unless required for an investigation.
11) Children’s privacy
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us to delete it.
12) Links to other sites
Our Site may link to third-party sites or services we don’t control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
13) Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, tax, and audit obligations. We then securely delete or anonymize it.
