Summit Airport Parking — Terms & Conditions
Effective date: August 12, 2025
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern online bookings, parking, shuttles, and optional vehicle services provided by Summit Airport Parking (“Summit”, “we”, “us”, “our”) at summitairportparking.com and on site at 360 Sky Blvd., Goffs, NS. By making a booking, entering our premises, or using our services, you (“you”, “your”) agree to these Terms.
1) Definitions
Booking: An online reservation to park a vehicle at Summit (and any add-on services).
Booking Period: From the entry date/time you selected through the exit date/time you selected.
Parking Facility / Premises: Summit’s lots, drive lanes, shuttle stops, and reception areas.
Vehicle Services: Optional services (e.g., oil change, cleaning/detailing).
Rate Board: Posted rates online or on site (taxes extra unless stated).
2) Booking, changes, cancellations & refunds
Online edits: You may edit your online Booking up to 1 hour before your Booking Period starts.
Cancellations: Full refund if cancelled 24+ hours before the Booking Period starts; non-refundable within 24 hours.
No-shows / early returns: Unused time is non-refundable.
3) Arrival, exit & charges
Rate calculation: Parking is charged per 24-hour period or part thereof based on actual entry and exit. Posted rates may change; the rate confirmed at booking applies to the booked period.
Late pick-ups / overstays: If you exit after your Booking Period, additional charges apply at our posted maximum daily rate for each additional 24-hour period or portion thereof until you exit. This applies regardless of the reason (e.g., flight delays).
Lost ticket (if applicable): If our on-site system issues a ticket and it is lost, charges may default to the maximum daily rate based on time in lot.
Payment: You authorize us (and our payment processors Stripe/Moneris) to charge all amounts due. Declined or disputed transactions must be resolved before exit.
4) Shuttle service
Shuttles run on demand. Transfer times are not guaranteed; please allow sufficient buffer to reach the terminal. We are not responsible for missed flights.
5) Your responsibilities on site
Park only in marked spaces and follow all signage and staff directions.
Drive cautiously; no idling where prohibited.
Remove valuables, lock your vehicle, and keep your keys unless you opt into Key Storage/Vehicle Services.
No fueling, repairs, sleeping, or hazardous materials on the Premises.
6) Nature of parking; risk allocation
License to park (not a bailment): We provide a license to occupy a parking space. We do not take custody of, or assume responsibility for, your vehicle or its contents unless we expressly do so (e.g., when keys are left for Vehicle Services). Standard Canadian parking terms treat this as space rental, not safekeeping
Loss & damage: To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for theft, vandalism, weather, or damage to your vehicle or contents, except where caused by our negligence. Any incident must be reported to us before you leave the Premises; otherwise, claims are deemed waived.
Occupiers’ Liability: We will take reasonable care to keep visitors reasonably safe on the Premises as required by Nova Scotia’s Occupiers’ Liability Act. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability resulting from our negligence where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
7) Key Storage & Vehicle Services (oil change, cleaning, etc.)
Keys: If you opt into Key Storage and/or Vehicle Services, you authorize trained personnel to move and operate your vehicle on the Premises and as reasonably necessary to perform services.
Service limits: We aim to complete services before your return; timing may vary. Charges apply once work is performed.
Mechanical condition: You confirm the vehicle is roadworthy and has adequate fuel/charge. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects or latent mechanical issues discovered during service.
Third-party vendors: Where applicable, technicians may be employees or vetted contractors under our direction.
8) EV charging (if available)
Charging stalls are first-come, first-served and not guaranteed. Charging speeds vary and may be impacted by weather or vehicle settings. We are not responsible for unavailable chargers, power outages, or battery degradation. (Comparable Canadian airport disclaimers treat outdoor conditions and infrastructure limits similarly.)
9) Long stays, abandoned vehicles & lien rights
Stays over 60 days require prior approval; otherwise, vehicles may be treated as abandoned and towed or stored at your expense. This mirrors common airport practices.
We may exercise any lien or other rights available under applicable law to secure unpaid charges (parking, towing, storage, services). (General Canadian lien principles recognize liens for storage/repair; specific procedures vary by province.)
10) Damage, incidents & claims
Report any vehicle or property incident to our staff before leaving so we can document details. Failure to report before exit may waive your claim.
11) Prohibited vehicles & misuse
We may refuse entry or require removal of any vehicle that is leaking fluids, unsafe, oversized for our lot, improperly registered/insured, or used contrary to signage or law. We may relocate your vehicle within the Premises for operational reasons.
12) Car detailing (if applicable)
1. Right to Refuse or Modify Service
We may decline, pause, or modify any service in our reasonable discretion, including when the vehicle contains excessive personal items or presents health, safety, hygiene, or operational concerns. Additional time or surcharges may apply if service proceeds under such conditions.
2. Personal Belongings
You are responsible for removing all personal items and valuables before service. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss of, or damage to, any belongings left in your vehicle. We do not inventory or secure items.
3. Child Seats & Seat Covers
Car seats and seat covers must be removed by you prior to drop-off. If they are not removed, we will clean around them only. For safety and liability reasons, we do not remove or reinstall child seats or seat covers.
13) Privacy
Personal information is handled per our Privacy Policy (PIPEDA-aligned). Third-party providers (e.g., Rezcomm/WPS booking platforms; Stripe/Moneris payments; Mailchimp newsletters) process data as described in that Policy.
14) Force majeure
We are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, power outages, labour actions, emergencies) that affect service availability. (Common in airport parking terms.)
15) Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising from a Booking (excluding parking charges owed) is limited to the amount you paid to Summit for the Booking giving rise to the claim. We exclude indirect, special, incidental, and consequential damages. Comparable airport parking terms limit recovery to fees paid for the reservation.
16) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms by posting a new version on our website. Changes do not affect confirmed Bookings made before the effective date of the update.
17) Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia and Canada. Venue for disputes is Nova Scotia.
